Forcible Entry Tools

Nassau Fire offers two great tools for Forcible Entry. One of them is the Hand Vario, a self contained forcible entry tool. Primarily designed as a first response tool for vehicle rescue, it is also a valuable resource in other scenarios such as structural collapse and confined space rescue. Weighing only 22 lbs., it is easy to transport, yet has as much spreading and cutting force as most full size combination tools.

Another forcible entry tool we carry is the Power Wedge Kit. The Power Wedge is a multi-use forcible entry tool, originally designed for opening entry doors, it can be used for much more than that. In vehicle rescue, it can be used to make purchase points, exposing hinges and Nader pins. It can also be used to open hoods on car fires. In confined space and structural collapse situations, the Power Wedge provides a lightweight, compact and powerful system to help free victims.
