Nassau Fire Apparatus Eager to Sell Next eMAX E-ONE Fire Truck
Since it was first debuted at this year's FDIC in Indianapolis, the latest fire apparatus design by E-ONE known as the eMAX has sparked a lot of interest in the fire industry. About a month ago, the first one was sold to the Plantation Fire Department in Florida. Division Chief Laney Stearns of the Plantation Fire Department actually had a custom E-ONE truck already on order when they switched to the eMAX after reviewing a brochure on the new E-ONE edition shortly after FDIC. They had been in the process of customizing a fire apparatus that was full of extra safety elements but when they were presented with the option of the eMAX, it was apparent that it allowed for everything they wanted and then some. The choice was easy.
The eMAX design provides maximum compartment space, accessibility, maneuverability and fire fighting capability to meet the demands placed on today’s first responders. eMAX allows departments to have an enclosed pump panel, low speedlays, lower pre-connected handlines, and excess compartment space all on a shorter wheel base.
