Nassau Fire Apparatus – A 50 Year Tradition

Born from honest, humble beginnings, Nassau Fire Apparatus has grown from a simple service and repair shop into a leading emergency vehicle sales, equipment, and service company. We started small in 1963, with a one-bay servicing facilitiy working on commercial vehicles and grew slowly…deliberately, through the years. Every new service and upgrade was well researched and pursued in order to deliver premium service and knowledge to our customers.

In the early days, customers came by to see our founder, Nick Buglione.  Together, Nick and his son Andy built the company and expanded into the EMS and trucking industry. Nick and Andy added sales to the maintenance and service to provide a one-stop shop for emergency vehicles, equipment, parts, accessories, remounts, service and more.

Today, clients visit us at our 15,000 square foot, high-tech facility at 120 Otis Street in West Babylon. We’ve expanded significantly since those early days to include:

  • 9 full time emergency vehicle technicians
  • 3 full time service writers
  • 2 full time fabricators/welders
  • 5 body men
  • 3 certified painters
  • 4 certified welders
  • 7 road service trucks
  • 2 full time sales managers
  • 17 man sales team

We’ve been meeting firemen and first responder’s needs within the New York/Vermont area for four decades. Nick and Andy have met with second and third generation rescue teams – many area divisions won’t think of going anywhere else. Additionally, our services reach far beyond our region by offering remounts, collision repair, custom fabrication, preventative maintenace, UL testing, and parts and accessories nationally.
